How long does roof pointing last?+
Traditional sand-and-cement pointing on ridge tiles typically lasts 10 to 15 years before it starts cracking and crumbling. A high-quality re-point can last up to 20 years, but for a permanent fix we recommend upgrading to dry ridge or dry verge instead.
How much does ridge re-pointing cost?+
Ridge re-pointing in Doncaster usually costs £15 to £25 per linear metre. A standard semi-detached ridge typically comes in between £200 and £450. Chimney stack re-pointing is priced separately and usually costs £250 to £600 depending on size and access.
Should I re-point or fit dry ridge?+
